Baby bootie cupcakes

A couple of ladies in my daughter's play group are soon to have new little ones.  We decided to have a mom's night out to celebrate their arrival.  Both ladies are having girls so I made some pink "boot" cupcakes as my daughter calls them.

Springfest cookies

Still haven't quite gotten the cookie thing down but looking for any excuse to practice them.  Our church put on a Springfest and the Sunday School classes were asked to make cookies.  I attempted to copy the logo and this is what I got.

Fishing basket cake

I made a cake for a man who's wife was throwing him a surprise birthday party at their cabin.  It is a fishing basket and was a lot of fun to make.

Graduation cake

This past Friday and a friend's son graduated High School.  Such a big accomplishment that definitely requires a  party.  Of course a party needs a cake.  I have to say I think the cake was really cute in person...hard to get a clean picture of it as it just looks messy in photographs.  As you can see the cake was for Hunter and he lives for this sport.  The dirt hills were each of his accomplishments...being a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior and finally graduating.

Tinkerbell Cake

My sweet little girl turned 3 this weekend and we had a Tinkerbell birthday party.  I think the cake turned out cute and don't really think the pictures do it justice...but I may be biased. ;)

Reid's Cowboy Birthday

My nephew's birthday was this weekend.  He turned 1.  (Seems like we were just down there for his birth).  My sister-in-law did an excellent job planning the party with no detail over looked.  He had a cowboy themed party and all the kids had a blast.  I had the great honor of being able to make his cake and I think it turned out really cute.

Happy St. Patty's Day

I am in the process of trying to find a cake recipe that taste great but will also support the weight of being a tiered cake.  One of my daughters was spending the morning with her Nana so I thought this would be a good time to try a new recipe.  I thought since St. Patrick's Day was this week I would do a simple fun decoration.  She loved it and within a minute of her arrival the first slice was cut.
